COLLODI: A11 Firenze Mare motorway, take the Chiesina Uzzanese exit and continue in the direction Pescia-Collodi
- Collodi is situated in a central position between Montecatini Terme (10 km), famous for its spa and its fine hotels, and Lucca (15 km), the magnificent city with its majestic walls encircling monuments and vistas of rare beauty; it is also close to Pisa (32 km), with the marvels of the Piazza dei Miracoli, to Viareggio and Versilia (45 km) with their famous beaches, and to Florence, (60 km), one of the greatest centres of art and culture in the world. Also near Collodi are the art city of Pistoia with its fine Zoo, Vinci with the Museo Leonardiano and the birthplace of Leonardo, Abetone and the montagna pistoiese with their celebrated ski slopes Just 5 km from Collodi you can visit Pescia, a town famous for its production of flowers and for its historic and artistic beauties, and the Svizzera Pesciatina with its 10 ancient districts (castella). Also in Collodi is the historic Garzoni Garden (and adjacent Villa), a superb exemplar of the eighteenth-century Italian garden.
