The goal
of this project, which is unfolding in such a crucial historical phase of
emphasis on European unification, is to explore the theme of the representation
and integration of European cultures by focusing on the character of Pinocchio,
seen through the perspective of the adventures experienced by some of the
classic characters of the European children's literature: Pinocchio in Italy,
Alice in Wonderland in Britain, the Little Prince in France, Peter Porcupine
in Germany, Pippi Longstocking in Sweden, etc.
